Greetings! I’m Justin Chandler, also known as Chan. If you’re wondering why I love helping businesses like yours, let me fill you in.
My Background in Education
Graduating from Appalachian State University in 2016 with a B.S. in Middle Grades Education, I worked in the public school system as a middle school ELA instructor. As an educator, I focused on showing the next generation of scholars the importance of the written word in any endeavor. In 2018, I won the Beginning Teacher of the Year Award for Alexander County Schools.
From Teacher to Writer
In 2018, I created my freelance identity Chan’s Copywriting Company as a way to reach out to businesses (like yours) who want to have results-driven, engaging writing. This has allowed me to work with small and large businesses including local DJs, e-commerce companies, Amazon and third-party fulfillment companies, and medical practices. In 2021, I left teaching to focus on writing full-time as a freelancer and in-house, and rebranded to my full name a year later.
Other Works
Outside of work, I have written for my alma mater (under both ASU’s chapter of The Odyssey and as an opinion writer for The Appalachian Online) and sporadically under my own personal blog. I’ve also published two fictional works: the short story Davey’s Day in ASU’s literary review The Peel, and the Young Adult Sci-Fi novel The Guide.
